Godsway Dzoboku

Mr Dzoboku joined the teaching profession in 2006, when he started as a teacher of Maths in Worksop. He has also been working for Outwood Grange Academies Trust since 2011 when the Trust sponsored Portland Comprehensive School. Since 2011, he has held different leadership positions within the Trust. In 2014, he played a key role in helping the academy to gain an outstanding assessment by Ofsted. More recently, he has worked as a Vice Principal at Outwood Academy Valley where he provided strategic and inspirational leadership to raise standards and transform the lives of students.

His belief that every student, irrespective of their background or circumstance should be inspired and given the support to learn and achieve their full potential, has been fundamental in shaping both his teaching and leadership career. The knowledge and experiences he gained from the different leadership roles he has held enables him to exhibit genuine passion in inspiring and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Having started his teaching career in Worksop, he is excited and honoured to be appointed Principal at Outwood Academy Portland, and he is looking forward to embedding his vision to ensure that students at Outwood Academy Portland become well rounded individuals with a positive attitude to learning and life, ready to take on the challenges of our fast-changing world and to make a creative contribution to our community and the world.
